It's The Girth - Poem by John W. McEwers

It isn't the length
they always say.

A speech is just as good
or better
when it is short
and fat
and knows when to finish
and when to finish early
without anyone noticing
sort of without her noticing
ok, she totally knows,
but let's just keep going
she'll probably see the promised land
before I am too soft
of heart.
