I'Ve Got A Hold On You Poem by John W. McEwers

I'Ve Got A Hold On You

Like I'm wearing pine tar on my hands
Like you're wrapped in rubber bands
Like I covered you in glue
Then I got some on my shoe
And try as I might
I can't get it off
Because there's glue in the laces too
So I have a hold on you.
Through my foot
Stuck to you
Where I stepped on you.
And it was obviously an accident
Because these shoes are Air Jordan's
And I love them.
Let me go.
