It's Time To Wake Up Poem by Edwina Reizer

It's Time To Wake Up

On this most fictitious holiday
It is quite clear to me
That we have been duped so much
Into believing artificiality.

But humans have never learned
That truth can set them free.
They just love to worship
Some figure of authority.

We’ve gone too long
Believing in lies
Set up by authority figures
Who fully recognize

That we are sheep
And want to be led,
As long as we’re soothed
As long as we’re fed.

Religions have been
Set up by the elite.
It ensnares our minds
And makes us repeat

The ongoing enslavement
Since we were born.
Oh we poor humans
How we would mourn

If we could finally come
Face to face with the truth.
But the ones in power don’t intend
For any of us to become a sleuth.

They have the knowledge and do intend
To keep it hidden from we.
And so we’ve been taught false science,
False religions and history.

And who are these elite that we worship?
They are soulless portals, not of men.
And until we wake up from our slumber
It will never be able to end.

We accept as reality things they teach
That makes no sense at all.
And when a true truth speaker speaks,
We try to nail him to the wall.

The story of true humanity
Will be told someday.
But still there’ll be millions to deny it
And go their moronic way

Allowing blind faith to lead them
Into a slaughterhouse.
For we are members of the food chain
Just like the tiny mouse

Who scrambles around frantically,
Afraid of his own shadow
Trapped in a cage of his own making
As mounting fear does grow.

Is there no escape? Must we perish?
Without even knowing why?
Or can we wake up and search for the truth
Before it’s our turn to die.

Even if there’s nothing we can do about it
Just knowing what is true
Is empowering and freeing for me.
I don’t know about you?
