It Will Be - Poem by Edward Kofi Louis
These high walls will collapse one day,
This world will close up one day,
This catastrophe will visit all of us one day,
And it will be the last ever war to be fought;
For my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge!
And like the shadow of a thief,
Their dead bodies will be like the garbage that grows.
You've put a muzzle in your mouth and,
Your ears do not listen to my parables;
For beauty is now consumed like the grave!
And like the east wind which breaks the ships:
Because my home is now taken over by the soldiers of war.
