'Its A Heavenly Day (Picnicking Revellers) Poem by james watkin

'Its A Heavenly Day (Picnicking Revellers)

'A heavenly day! '
All humming declare.
Revellers, from out whose awnings
Elm's pale green stare.

With this earthly place
The time-sense diffused.
Through these pleasure-heats, hazily;
Chit chat's, wine-abused!

Til shadows encroach;
Darker, day-ending's.
Whilst each, of that belief's stupor
Left to defend is!
