God! Its been a gruelling day,
Up and down that unforgiving ladder.
Painting each house side wall,
Fixing roof tiles to make me madder.
I have been on that high roof,
More times than bloody Spiderman.
But the glorious sun was shining,
And I've picked up a bit of a tan.
So I shouldn't really grumble,
For tomorrow I will rise at dawn.
To do a spot of quiet gardening,
Then, I'll mow that bloody lawn.
