Jacqueline Ii Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Jacqueline Ii

Jacqueline, line, lean, lane, lain, in, an quail, jail, nail, queen;
Melons, leeks and onions!
But i have lost my appetite on this love,
Because, you've failed to tell me the truth of your secret ways.

The muse of life and the very ways od nature!
With fish, cucumbers and caroots in my kitchen;
Blossom!
Trying to get my appetite back after all these years,
For, you thought you've thrown me into the wilderness of the lions! !
But, i am still alive and, playing with the lions.

These secret ways of your life!
Every now and then with different stories from the people around;
But, i have now managed to live in the den of the lions! !
Playing with them and learning from my mistakes.
