Jai Sri Ram Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

Jai Sri Ram

His colour beautiful, a mix of black
and blue, as if the scattered nimbus mists
were sprinkled over welkin's void mosaic...
there Royal Ram, the courtiers amidst.
The gems he donned were like the blinking stars
in sky, conquered by His enamoring charms;
and silks he wore, touching His battle scars
turned crinkled shy, and stayed in blissful calm.
In spilling golden gleams from crown, Rama
looked like the ocean still, in morning Sun!
And lo, behold, His side, pious Sita Ma
His dear consort, attired in bright Auburn!
SiaRam, SiaRam...their names as Holy Psalms,
and forms as frozen Om, I say Pranaams!
