Jelly Beans Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Jelly Beans

Rating: 5.0

There are a variety of colors and flavors
Soft with gooey sweet tastes to savor
Pick a color and guess what’s in store
All are favorites… sneak back for more

Jelly beans have a magnetic attraction
What causes this immense physical reaction?
The overpowering focus distracts from intent
Invoking an urge that you can not prevent

Put one then another in your mouth and chew
A delightful treat results from mixing two
Earning you the title of revered connoisseur
An expanding jelly belly attests to the allure
