i remember the day
you held onto the steering wheel
the shins playing through the speakers
i would never forgive him
even if he burned in hell
i saw you cry
and i felt my own heart break
it seems like things go wrong
but i have to know
if the world is laughing, like you
you're never happy with your life
or your hair
still you keep a smile.
