Jim's Story Poem by Amber ...

Jim's Story

Doctor sighs
Momma cries
Jim is dead
The bullet went through his head

Jim woke up in a square white room
Someone spoke, an echoing boom
He turned around and Jesus was there
And poor old Jim couldn't help but stare

Jesus looked, and then he flashed a smile
'All of your life, is in that pile'
Jim looked, and to his surprise
A pile of little cards that would be his demise

He picked one up, and there it was
His life on red index cards
'This only is showing my crimes and wrongs'
'What about all the stuff for you, Lord, the prayers and songs? '

Then in a small white box that the Lord had
He opened it up, it made Jim sad
He relived in his mind his laughs and fun
His good deeds and nice things that he had done

'Jim, this is your life, and it is no lie'
Everything you did before you died
You served me, that is good enough
I'll erase your wrong doings and all the bad stuff'

Then Jesus snapped his fingers, the red pile was gone
'From this point on you have done nothing wrong'
Jim knew he was blessed, this was his reward
Because all of his life he served the Lord
