Jingle-Belling Ourselves Into Jolliness Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

During Advent,
if we care to hear,
the messages offered,
they have to do
with salvation history,
prophecy, darkness,
light, Our Lady in her splendor,
the angels in their myriads,
the impending Incarnation,
the Second Coming of Christ.

If we are jingle-belling ourselves
into jolliness prematurely,
we will miss the heavenly
messages that God
wants to convey to us.

(The season of Advent is the preparation time
which has a duration of 4 weeks for Jesus
Christ to be born in the Manger.
Christians must prepare for it
in fasting and prayer.)
