The 35th American President
From Massachusetts
Began his journey of life
As a naval reserve, a journalist,
A senator, a writer,
A senator
He was a great policy-maker.

After defeating Richard Nixon,
He rose to presidency
With a policy to counter
Soviet Union and Cuba,
Double the advisers in South Vietnam
A democrat he in opposition
To communism and its propaganda
Struck deals with
As for heightened tensions of the Cold War
But he was assassinated in Dallas.
