Johnny Poem by Francis Duggan

Johnny

Little Johnny a dark brown shetland pony with large spots of gray
Is friendly towards people not shy in any way
Every time i walk past the paddock he lives in he comes to the fence as if to say good day
Though without a companion he seems happy and doing quite okay
Perhaps life among other horses of he never has known
Since he does seem content living on his own
His owner Rob a good friend to him feeds him every day
Little Johnny has grown fat on grass, grain and hay
Little Johnny not an old pony though beyond his physical prime
Without any work to do he enjoys a good time
As he is one who does not have a horse family
He does seem to enjoy human company
Of human beings he is one who is not shy
At the fence of his paddock he greets anyone who walks by.
