When you hold my hand it is my heart,
And that is where I will want to start.
If you’re the one to ever feel the pain,
It is my tears that will fall like the rain.

Our hearts are joined together as one.
If your life should end then mine is done.
You are all that I could ever ask for.
In this life, I will need nothing more.

If your heart should feel the sorrow,
Mine would not want to face tomorrow.
Your love will always be everything to me,
That is all I will ever really need to see.

As you feel the power of the love we need,
If you are wounded I’m the one who’ll bleed.
If the love we share were to ever be gone,
I would not have the strength to carry on.

I will use your love as my guiding light,
So as I may see in the darkest night.
If it is your heart I should ever break,
Then it is my life that shall have to forsake.
