I took it to the father of all wisdom.
He gave me advice.
I took the advice
to the mother of all love
and she gave me a hug.
I took the hug
to the prince of all lovers
and he gave me it back, with interest.
I took the interest
to my best friend
and she shared it with me,
together with advice, a hug,
and a promise that it would go no further.
Jan, I like what you did here.... I wonder too what the ending was, perhaps it was similar to mine? Who'll ever know! But still... the poem says enough to captivate the reader and that's what makes it a good poem. HG: -) xx
This has all the elements of a children's picture book story. And all the enchantment too. Beware the gossips. Treasure what you have. Superb penning. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
