Journey Through The Night Poem by Yash Nundlal

Journey Through The Night

Rating: 5.0

Frightened, terrified and alone
I have not continued on
A chilly wind hinders my growth
But the reflection I see still scares me

The play on words, the metaphor change
A hybrid is to become me
Stricken between faith, heart and brain
Yet my reflection still looks at me in vain

Deeper through the meadows
The scenery, metamorphose
Disconnected from my roots
The reflection ripples in fear

Is it a necessity to change?
To repeat another?
But still define your wisdom through another's gaze?
Our reflection, in depth, remains the same

Reminds me of the song CHANGE popularized by TEARS FOR FEARS... Great poem, Yash...a perfect 10++++ Change You walked in to the room I just had to laugh The face you wore was cool You were a photograph When it's all too late It's all too late I did not have the time I did not have the nerve To ask you how you feel Is this what you deserve When it's all too late It's all too late Change You can change And something on your mind Became a point of view I lost your honesty You lost the life in you When it's all too late It's all too late We walk and talk in time I walk and talk in two Where does the end of me Become the start of you When it's all too late It's all too late What has happened to The friend that I once knew Has he gone away
