Jowanty's Song Poem by joshua madiba

Jowanty's Song

At first they never thought,
We could have a brother like him;
but we got him.
And he agitated for our freedom.
He sang the same song,
Day and night;
but they gave a deef ear.
Now that he is gone.
We are more aggrieved.
Nobody to lead us.
No brother like him.
Am sixty now,
but i can remember,
the song he sang.
When our hands where soiled,
Our eyes full of lancinates.
He gave us courage,
To sing the song.
