In my life

There have been times

Where I wish

I could have done more

Where I would

But I as not allowed

They walked

A path very narrow

From which

They would turn

As if

They had blinders on

Looking only

Straight ahead the sides did not see

There were

Things I would have shown

But they

Would not let me

What they

Sought could not be

The way

They wanted it to be

I would

Have helped another way

Their dream

Could have then came true

I turned

From them long ago

I wanted

To find joy with them

I wanted

Them to find their dream

But on

Their path it could never be
