Joyful Dreams Poem by Tina Rizk

Joyful Dreams

My love,

I asked my friend the wind to carry
Me to you, I'm a light feather that roams
Fast and high in the sky blue
Towards your heart, my tender home

I weave dreams joyful as sunbeams
I wish they turn real and carry you near
But be you far or near, my love for you
Will never vanish nor disappear

Distance matters little in love
For true love is the love of the soul
Whose divine beauty remains intact
No matter how much we turn on the
Wheel of birth and death. That's a fact!

By the way, is time real or an illusion?
Are we this perishable body that
Feeds worms as we lie in tombs?
Your love beats and grows deep in my heart
Which will transcend with the soul upon death
So our love will still breathe even if the
Body shall one day no longer exist
