When I close my eyes
And move to fantasy
I see my class with
A sprit of ecstasy
I count the days
Down the memory lane
Full of joys
And full of pains
I remember my first day
When I entered class 9
Many unfamiliar faces
Greeted me
Like sunshine
The moon among the stars
Was the class teacher of our class
Whose lively face
Gave each day a great start
I remember the swinging warm hugs
On my class entries
Was parting of 18 hours
Equivalent to 18 centuries
I never had imagined
Before entering class 9
That Wash rooms could be
Great places of reunions and pastime
Another thing which
I can never forget
Are the long good morning tones
'goooood mooorning maaaa'am 'we said
Which made some teachers angry to their bones
I remember our laughs
I remember our cries
I remember standing in front of the buses
Just to say good bye
And now I see
A future in front of me
where non of of naughtiness will be left
but just memories
now on this paper drenched with tears
I write
Good bye class X goodbye
Lines that came straight from the heart. Nostalgic. Being a teacher I can easily relate to this. I am also facing the same thoughts but from a teacher's angle. Every year we have to go through the same period when our senior batch leaves the campus.A tearful farewell
I remember our laughs I remember our cries I remember standing in front of the buses Just to say good bye.. a very touching poem of sweet memories of the lovely school days. thank you very much. tony
