Juba Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Juba

Juba

Juba is word of day
I get them everyday
Simply new word
To keep up…

And Juba makes me laugh
A known dance of slaves
In plants of the south
Of US.

It features the rhythmic handclaps
And the thighs are slapped.

But today one of those dance founders
Holds the key to White House.

Keep laughing at changes
Among us, among them.
