Jumping In The Field Poem by Debora Soramaki

Jumping In The Field

Out in the field
Where alfalfa grew
Existed a shield
And nobody knew.
It gave me the power
I needed to fly.
To reside in the tower
I had to jump high.
I jumped and I cried
Till the power took hold.
I thought I had died
Cuz my body turned cold.
The wind took me higher
But I gained control
Grabbing hold of the wire
So the force would be slow.
Soon the clouds blew apart
And out sprang the sun.
It slowed down my heart.
The search had begun.
