Jumpstart Vengeance Poem by Mona Adviento

Jumpstart Vengeance

In the labyrinth of her mind
She finds solace between
The spaces of lucidity and mundane
Where the clutter of the matters of consequence
Are stripped away by the mere
Touch of enlightened thought.
And though electricity runs
In such places, the sunlight is enough
Because only in coming to terms
With pain;
With the sensation of ultraviolet ligt
Can she truly comprehend
The Gift of Illumination.

She walks between the halls
Of whimsy and reality
And rediscover her lost freedom

She dares once again, to dream grand dreams
And plan great plans and think grand thoughts
For her momentary, palpable bliss has obscured
Her vision of her universe as she had
Been consumed by the overriding sensation
Of Proximity.

And thus, she find her tongue loosened
To speak once again of the Greatness of her Being
Unhindered by the shadow of the possibility of domesticity

And she finds she can fly with a fractured breastbone
Without much thought to that periphery
And she finds she can soar with a jumpstart of pain.

She closes her eyes and searches the air for regret
She finds none though she does not forget
She holds not to the befuddling feeling of loss
She has lost him but she has found herself once again
And is not daunted by the probability of solitary existence.

There is joy. There is liberty.
Amid the rubble of promises, ardorously made under the spell of infatuation,
Comes new life, new plans for old dreams.
The fire is rekindled and ignited, with a vengeance.

Dare. Dare to live, to love
Dare to be whole again..
..Because she knows. She believes she can start something
Her passion will engulf her and carry her away into the heavens
And she will soar with a broken breast bone
Through the halls of unshackled consciousness

You are not made to be tied down!

You are a child of the millennia
And great things happen
With the offspring of the stars…
