June Moon Poem by Casey Gochnour

June Moon

The sun hides its face as the day comes to end,
Watching over the trees, watching it descend,
Headstrong into darkness, lost in the wood,
Aiming for guidance, a path to be understood.

The sun hid its face as the day came to end,
Feeling for earth, spying a light ascend.
Vision becoming clearer, brighter, a path opens.
Aiming for guidance for this heart so broken.

You’re the direction I follow to get home,
No reason to wander, no reason to roam.
Walking with light in my steps, chasing you,
Aiming for guidance with your love so true.

The sun hid its face as the day came to end,
As it left it sent someone more than a friend.
You, my love, my path-finder,
My lover, my friend, my light provider.

You’re my June moon,
Oh but don’t leave so soon.
The sun may be rising,
You’ll find it surprising,

Constantly moving, encircling my world,
Forever revolving, my love unfurled.
Opening up to your ever-open gaze,
Filling your light with my loving ways.

We now share love, both to and fro,
Through the grass, rock, and snow,
We guide each other, show where to go.
With you, my June moon, and your forever glow.

The sun hides its face as the day comes to end,
Watching over the trees, watching it descend.
A vision so clear, with you in my mind,
I have my guidance, with love intertwined.
