'Have you ever loved someone? '
You asked me that.
'I don't know..'
It was all I could say.
'What is love to you? '
You continued to ask.
'I'm sorry, I don't have an answer for that.'
I really didnt..
'Love is not a sign of weakness you know.'
I'm not weak.. (What is weakness to you anyway?)
'It's ok to share. Whats on your mind? '
'Why me? ' I was thinking.. I was just anybody trying to enjoy my coffee in peace.
'Because you're alone.'
What?
'you have the same eyes as me.'
Who was this girl, I couldnt even look at her after hearing those words.
There was a minute of silence before I woke up.
It was just a dream.
That dream felt so real that I was thinking about it that entire morning. A girl in glasses.. But that day went by and I forgot all about it.
Then some time later, one evening, I was out alone for some coffee. It was mid winter and the powder snow had covered the entire city. It was dark and I was walking outside past a cafè.
There I saw you.
Sitting alone, by the window reading a book.
I instantly remembered..
You looked exactly the same as my dream.
Your hat, your coat, your glasses, even the color of your fingernails. Identical.
But what struck me the most was your eyes.
Green, tired, empty.. They were the same as my own.
And there it was..
I had the answer.
You looked up at me. I was stearing. Must have been creepy..
I smiled at you before I left. Heading home with my answer.
'What is love to you? '
You asked me.
'It is... Just a small.. Feeling.'
One of the best poems I've ever read....It beautiful and makes the reader experience it....Can't describe it! ! ! ! Brilliant! ! !
Oh wow! Can't believe I'm reading these words - coming from a stranger. Someone asked me that question recently 'have you ever been in love? '.... does this equate to someone Really asking you 'could you ever be in love (with me) ? ' i think so, the world is a funny old place but without the secret burning of desire and unrequited passion, we would be lost..... Thanks for sharing... I like your style of writing by the way, very refreshing....10 ++ (but i guess rating a poem is not the best way of appreciating it, I will read again so) Ruth Lavelle
I liked this journey through the realms of your inner world. It may be only a small feeling, but it won't be ignored. Smiling at you Tai

I would like to translate this poem
I had a conversation similar to this and found the same conclusion. It is a beautiful thing to read something that makes you feel that you are not alone in the way you feel just by the poets words.
