Just Another Day In Sector 8 Poem by Judy Ponceby

Just Another Day In Sector 8

Xenophiles see it all the time.

The transubstantiation of matter
causing hysteria among every culture.

One alchemical shift from lead to gold
and you have empaths weeping over asps,
telekinetics dropping things on fairy's heads.

A tiny fusion of atoms and the next thing you know
satyrs are dancing with dingos, sphinxes are doing the two step.

Who knows what the next time/space shift is going to bring?

Sigh...........makes for a long day at work. Ya know?

Judy, your poet's notes was quite enlightening. first i looked up xenophilia. then i read your notes (after the poem) . a very curious poem and i googled 'word bricks' and have an idea now of what you mean in your notes. sounds very challenging. i think i might be up to the challenge. care to challenge me? ? what is sector 8? in the u.s.a. there is a government program called section 8 which aids poor people with housing subsidies. sector 8 sounds like something from a sci-fi story.
