Just Because Poem by Patti Masterman

Just Because

Just because you can write in English;
Even very good English, at times
Just because you can write in rhymes
And they don't come apart at the seams
Doesn't make you a Keats or a Wordsworth
Doesn't make the dead quote you in dreams
Words are just bolts, and the syntax are nuts
And after that, there's no ifs, ands or buts:
Any monkey could type any Shakespeare lines
But for enough typewriters and long enough time.
