I want my child to always know
No matter how big he does grow,
If he is in trouble, I don't want him to roam
Just come home.
If his bills are becoming staggering
And from them he is now worrying and swaggering,
If he is feeling too much worries and stress
Please, let me help him with the mess.
If he is ever feeling unsafe or scared
If something just doesn't feel right just aired,
Remember this, before your very first tear
For you, I am always here.
I want my child to always know this
My love and support doesn't start or end with a kiss,
No matter how much of an adult he is seen
My love and support for him doesn't stop at 18.
If a relationship isn't working well
Do not stay if you feel like hell,
Grab your toothbrush and toothpaste and comb
Then come home.
