Just Do Your Own Thing Poem by Francis Duggan

Just Do Your Own Thing

Though some of you do not have nice things to say
For as long as you do not harm anyone in any way
Just do your own thing as you always do
And ignore what those negative have to say of you
You are different to most others on that you do your own thing
And this the verbal wrath of some of big brother's disciples on you does bring
You are not a member of any local social or sports club
Nor you do not go drinking to the local pub
And because you choose to live friendless on your side of the town
Some use this as a reason in words to put you down
But since as a member of any tribe you are not known
And you are a person with a mind of your own
And do your own thing as you always do
Those who feel challenged by those different will not speak kindly of you.
