Just Imagine If Poem by Randy McClave

Just Imagine If

Imagine, if you and I had never met
Then I would be free from all regret,
I would have never been sad from your worries and pain
And never would I had brought you in from the rain.
At night I could had easily fallen asleep
Instead of counting worries, I should of counted sheep,
But, then sad and used there you were
I also became your cook and your private chauffeur.
But, of course there I always was
And only because I thought that I was in love,
And I truly thought that you loved me as well
In my heart you then did dwell.
II I had not been there to meet and then protect you
Or take care of you when your worries came due,
Especially when bills and debts on you was bestowed
If it wasn't for me, those debts of yours would still be owed.
You told me how you were used and also mistreated
And how your ex made you feel cheap and mistreated,
You wanted to be treated not as a maid
Or as a woman whose her services must be paid.
I had given you a place to call home and to live
And I was the only person to forgive,
I gave you a place to rest and to lay your head
And you had your very own room and bed.
Suppose, just suppose that I was never there
Suppose neither was my money and my help and care,
Now, just ponder if I weren't there when you fell then;
We're would you be now, Just imagine.
