Just Lending An Ear Poem by Ray Hansell

If at times you're feeling lost
And don't seem to understand
You can always call on me
To lend a helping hand

If I cannot help you
Please know I will listen
I can be the strong foundation
From your life that may be missing

I will not judge you
Or even put you down
I will just listen
As a friend you have found

If you ask for my opinion
I will give you one
But if you don't want my advice
Then I will give you none

I do not have all the answers
Nor do I pretend to
I will sit and listen
As good friends are supposed to do
