Just Let Me Be! Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Just Let Me Be!

Rating: 5.0

My land is green
Is yours white?
Please let me be-ooooh! !

I love the scorching sun
It does not tear my skin
I love the stormy rain
It does not drown
Please let me be-oooh! !

When shall you know
That green and white
Are not two colours but one
Please let me be-ooh! !

I love my green and white
You don't need to tell me-
Where to live
Where to work
Where to spend my money

I am green and white
I have equal right like you
The constitution says so
Please let me be-oooh! !

Remember!
Our strength is in our diversity
One Love
One mind
One heart

Let unity consume
Those stony hearts
For I am here to stay

This is Naija!
My birth place
My Nation! !

It is a good and simple piece. I have just one observation. Indicating Nigeria as Niger seems confusing, I know you wanted to say Naija,9ja etc...nonetheless, i love the poem.
