Just Speak My Name Poem by poppy miller

Just Speak My Name

When sunset fades and shadows fall,
When blessed night steals your light,
If, at this hour, Athena spills her tears
Of love, know I'm in your sight.

If, in your dreams the sun appears
And Atam smiles his mystic glow
To fill your night with golden light,
Know, my full heart throbs to overflow.

If Aphrodite refashions your tinge
To a shade of brighter hue,
‘Tis I who said, "Choose the colour of creation;
The colour of love, the colour that is you."

And in your dreams, perchance
You meet upon Antheia so gentle,
Seek me out for I'll be with her
Amongst the blossoms of her temple.

Just speak my name to touch my soul
For distance is not measured by miles or time,
But by affection; I have not left you,
E'en though I be in some other clime.

Of doubt, let there be not a trace.
I live, I love, there is no mystery.
I am in your heart and you in mine;
Eternally writing our love's history.
