Just That Broken Hearted Girl Poem by Ashlee Woods

Just That Broken Hearted Girl

Why do I sit here so broken?
Why do I constantly cry over you?
Constantly in fear....
After all we have been through?

The pain you cause me,
You don't see,
That darkness that consumes me
You say you care
That you don't know what to do
But you aren't there
So I lose.

The hurt inside of me,
I cannot deny it,
But when you needed love,
I supplied it.

And the pain I feel,
The deep regret
It's all too real
I wish to forget

But I miss that beat
Oh the sound of your heart
When I fall asleep...
Now I am falling apart

No beautiful girl,
Put down that knife.
It's not the way to end one's life.

Do it with ease,
Not remorse,
Just please, let us say goodbye,
Goodbye to what once was a beautiful life.
Goodbye to the lies...
Goodbye to the girl with the swollen eyes.

Farewell beautiful girl, no more need to cry...

It saddens me to read so many poems written by young girls on wanting to end their lives over of all things, a man! There is not a man on earth or any other planet, who is worth ending your beautiful life over. You need to be strong and find your self worth so that you can go on to live a life full of happiness created by you! The right man will come along if it is meant to be.
