She Yearns Poem by Ashlee Woods

She Yearns

I wear my heart on my sleeve,
And oh can't you see,
I'm begging you please,
Stop hurting me.

I don't mean to be weak,
I don't mean to crumble
But my heart is a mess,
And I'm starting to fumble.

My body is shaking,
It is getting too much,
For all I seek
Is your warm touch

But whilst you treat me like this,
I cannot sympathise,
Because behind all the love
Is a web of lies

Mistakes were made
There were broken ties,
Feelings started to fade
And happiness was a disguise.

And behind the smile
Was just a broken heart
A hurt girl
Who refused to fall apart
For the feelings were to real
But the ache was just too much
And all she yearned for
Was that warm gentle touch

This has the potential to be a really really good poem. Nice start but sometimes the wording is a bit forced. Still an enjoyable read :)

Such an honest and from the heart write. Great rhyming rhythm also. The sing-song flow makes it an enjoyable read!
