Just The Jester Poem by Jayson Klarian Cortez

Just The Jester

Amuse me, my jester, I love when you maunder.

Diminish my boredom through silly gestures and jokes.

No matter how foolish, bring light to the dull. inspire a smile on the weary, paint rays of sunlight through fog.

My jester, dear jester, we all love your shows.

your performance stupendous, the light to my woes.

I indulge in your plays, the way you act as the fool.

A hilarious show, the spectacle that is you.

But a fool is a fool nonetheless, not worth keeping.

You are funny, utterly absurd,

not much more to convey.

Oh, jester, dear jester, I regret to inform you.

For I must depart, I've had just about enough for the day.

You've amused me enough, I have no means to linger.

Afterall, you're just the Jester.
