Justice - Poem by Edith Oram

Test results delighted financiers.
They voted, decision unanimous.
New fuel injection innovation
Had secured inventor's invitation
To future millionaire's celebration.
There followed protestor's accusation
Of stolen idea, imitation.
His lawyer's supportive affirmations
Proved costings, diagrams, conversations
On fuel consumption conservation.
Case proven exacted compensation.
News headlines trumpeted condemnation.
