The fate of democracy is to have the haves and have-nots. The second stanza depicts neatly the living conditions of the toiling lot. We are the people to mourn about it. Some welfare governments anounce freebies but only half of them reach the hands of the poor. The rich nations become richer at the expense of the poor. Excellent theme!
