Juxtaposed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Juxtaposed

Juxtaposed

Last night I had a dream,
Saw 'The Proud, ' Coyote,
And Gaza, Israel,
Observed the same posters,
War and peace…

She handled a meeting,
With raccoons and crows,
With big wolves and a fox,
With the lamb about what,
Wrote the Turkish Writer,
Aziz e Nesin…

The script on justice,
By the Jury and judges,
Designers set the stage,
With tailors, carpenters,
Mis-en-scene, and actors,
Waited for DOP, Director!

Came lion and tiger,
Came the bear and eagle,
Came the moose and deer,
Came hoopoe, woodpecker,
Came worms out of nowhere.

Some talked of poison,
Some spoke of weapons,
Some showed paws or claws,
Some dreams are nightmares!

Remembered my poem,
Juxtaposed same posters:
Portraited a painting,
Early Sun and the breeze,
Saw Proud, she was free!

But on the other wall
The photo of the gun,
In silence, it did talk:
'Vampires need blood! '
