Η Μούσα Kαλλιόπηthe Muse Calliope Poem by Mary Skarpathiotaki

Η Μούσα Kαλλιόπηthe Muse Calliope

Rating: 5.0

La Muse de mes vers peut de chanter
La poésie est aussi la mélodie en moi
Et cela devrait suffitpour moi
J'ai de la chance de vous en montrer! ..

The muse of my verses can sing
Poetry is also the melody for me
And that would be enough for me
I'm lucky to show you a few!

Η μούσα των στίχων μου μπορεί να τραγουδήσει
Η ποίηση είναι και η μελωδία για μένα
Και αυτό θα ήταν αρκετό για μένα
Είμαι τυχερός να σας δείξω μερικά!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
According to Hesiod, Calliope was the greatest and noble of the 9 Muses. Protector of Epic Poetry and Rhetoric, as well as all the fine arts (Kalejepousa) .

Muse Kalliopi was particularly pleading with the rhapsods to help them with inspiration. With its invocation, the Homeric epics begin.

It was the greatest, the most respected, the most serious, the wisest and the most determined of the Muses.Although a virgin to some Calliope is reported to be the mother of Jalimos, of Apollo, or of Orpheus or Linus, of Yemenus and of Komateon. Many were also those who considered Homer as her son.

They painted Kalliopi new, beautiful, majestic and imposing, with flowers on the head or ivy, on the right hand holding laurels and on the left two books, sometimes the Iliad and the Odyssey.
