Kafka Tamura Poem by Julian Takali

Kafka Tamura

Penned he did, what he could
Chinese soul on the China sea
From cabin to rose to the gentle stream
To bird in the sycamore trees
But left untouched was one pearl
High beyond his reach
To seize the moon was his curse
As a short man, he was meant to be
Day and night his old arms stretched belief
Until the Chinese soul fell into the China sea
