Kalbaisakhi/ Sabrimala Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Kalbaisakhi/ Sabrimala

Kalbaisakhi

With the change in season,
Kalbaiakhi seems to be knocking at door,
The winds blowing hard
Seemingly playful and sportive,
Taking us by surprise,
Dust whirling,
Dry leaves fluttering to fall
To show it all topsy-turvy
In hullabaloo and pandemonium
With the sudden jerk and jolt,
It may rain and lash
To lessen heat and humidity
In the summertime,
I can just hear the footfall,
The murmur taking the woodland
With the gusts of the wind
Refreshing and swaying.

Sabrimala

Sabrimala temple,
Lord Ayyappa,
The pundits and others
And the women,
Plead in your way
The way it suits you
But the judgement held so secret
To tell it otherwise
What it is in justice and jurisprudence.
