Maggie Wolf

Kayak - Poem by Maggie Wolf

I am afraid sometimes
to look him in the eye.
I am afraid he will look back
and be scared,
for my love is like a raging river
Barely contained by the dam,
and he might be swept away.
'Do not fret my love'
He says,
'I have a kayak.'
