Keeps Us Alive Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Keeps Us Alive

Let us not be unfair
And act fair
To born in life is great thing
To live and lead it entirely different thing

Suppose a person is drowned in sea
He will determine how to reach shore and be free?
Nothing will worry except to save self
If no one rushes to his help

We remember god
When we are free of load
Tension, worries and concerns
We think of philosophy and lavishly turn

Not helpless or poor may think likewise
It is not that they are unwise
Life keeps them always short of promises
With lots of things to do and finish

They are either semi starved
Or their plight is not observed
Millions die in pathetic condition
Sometimes humanity is forgotten as main relation

Yes only hope keeps us alive
Forces to face and relive
Life is precious and has to be lived
Some of the principles have to be believed
