Keki N.Daruwalla: A Remembrance Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Keki N.Daruwalla: A Remembrance

When I wrote to asking for
His books and interviews,
I remember
How he sent by post to me
The copies of
Winter Poems,
The Keeper of the Dead and Crossing of Rivers
And a Xerox copy of the c.v. sent to Sahitya Akademi
And two letters.

Daruwalla as a Parsi poet
Was Ted Hughesian
Who derived from tragedy and violence,
Curfew, death and disease,
The epidemic and the flood inundating the areas,
From animal imagery,
The wolf, the hawk and the eagle.
