Key To The Pitch Black Door Poem by Sven Rhoads

Key To The Pitch Black Door

Rating: 5.0

In the darkness I have been wandering
Seeking answers to silence my mind
Racing thoughts kept slumber squandering
Until in clear view I was walking blind
A certain name the being won't forget
Even in the moments of scatter brain
How I try to not let memories be regrets
Walking in silence yet screaming out in pain

Are you the one who comes to me at night
On snow white wings where you'll soothe my soul
Are you the key to the pitch black door
That have been searching for in this shadow world
Are you the one who burns sweet starlight
The dream made flesh to make me whole
Are you the one to stay with me forevermore
The other half of life my sweet dream girl

When the cold has its embrace upon me
Will you be the warmth that I feel
When the nights will keep me restless
Will your presence be my calming zeal

Unlock this door of pitch black
And let me see the sun again
Be this more than imagination
For it is all I come to crave
Dispell the darkness of my world
And steal my breath again my dear
Be the key that will start a new
A new beginning is what I need
