Kiki Poem by Francis Duggan

Kiki

Where is little Kiki she lived on our street
As lovely a person as one would wish to meet
With curly dark hair and with lovely brown eyes
In her early twenties yet in Worldly ways wise
A beautiful looker though not very tall
Her friendliness and warmth worthy of recall
Young Tommy O Kent suffering of love ache
Since Kiki left town happiness him did forsake
The wanderlust in her and town she did leave
He seems so crestfallen and for her he grieve
Young Kiki has gone to a far bigger town
She has left to follow her dreams of renown
And young Tommy O Kent feeling down since she left
Without her his life of love and joy bereft.
