Killed By The Killers Poem by Not Long Left

Killed By The Killers

He says he wants to leave this two star town
She wants to wants to walk with him hand
in hand tip toeing across the desert dancing
on the dunes under the moons spotlight.

He chokes with emotion with each word he
sings, she swallows every dropp of his angst.
The sky is burning over London the bombs
are dropping- I am losing her to change.

Face of the fridge plastered with snapshots
of beauty, deep at the bottom a haggard
familiar face smiles at no one.

The act of silence was once a moment shared
with heated bodies and contented smiles
Now we claw the darkness in search of a
sound that can mute the vibrating walls of contempt.

Go, now take his hand follow his words become
a souless soldier I will enter Nirvana and graffiti
'Nevermind' on our walls till you come home.
