Killer Instinct - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Killer Instinct - Lincoln Park Zoo

This lion was in search of prey.
It is in my nature to hunt.
Attacking quarry makes my day.
I have keen kill skill to be blunt.
And so while I was on the prowl
I saw something that caught my eye.
I pursued it with a low growl.
This was something about to die.
With claws and teeth I ripped it up,
Put it into throes of expire.
I scored one more awesome kill - yup!
My trophy - one dead rubber tire.

This lion's not lyin' to you,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
